A Deadly Game Of Wits & The Lesson It Taught To Me

Updated: Jan 8, 2022

There's good and evil in everyone. In every man exists a beast and a saint. Anyone can love the saint and ignore the beast, until the beast awakens the monster within you. What then? There becomes a double duality, and a battle ignites between a beast, a monster, and the two saints, with no control over who is fighting who. This turns into a viscous, bloody war between one monster and one saint, and a beast upon the other saint. The line of responsibility begins to blur. To be in integrity, I have to admit my ugliness in this. I met my monster, bought it a drink, lit it's cigarette, and brought the war planning paper. I used my monster as a pawn for battle, playing the game of dueling duality, and perhaps even won. I could've walked away long ago, but I chose to play the game . Alas, am I the only victim when I became an active soldier in this twisted game of wits? I have no idea when the game really began, when it was on or when it was paused. My God, I have no idea when the lies started or the truth ended. All I know is I never want to play again, and revenge brings no solace to an already shattered heart.
